Animal Year Press
What's up everyone, hello from Los Angeles! I'm installing my show at Heavy Manners today so I don't have much time but I did a few nice little interviews recently and wanted to share those:
here's one with Sam at the Boston Compass: [link]
here's one with Ali at the Happiness Pony-- this is an IRL paper and they don't post online but I was able to secure a fanscan: [pdf 2.1mb]
and for those of you who are maybe more auditory than text based, I had a really nice chat with Rose at KBOO radio in Portland, and you can listen to the archive here: [link].
Other than the show prep (which is going well), things are going well. I've been walking a lot, mostly up and down this one stretch of Sunset Boulevard between Matthew's house and the venue. Sunset Boulevard isn't like the movie really, or at least the part I'm on isn't. I guess that's for the best, I mean I'm trying to actually get things done, not languish in a realm of desiccation or get caught up in a web of intrigue. It's still quite nice. I've been enjoying the different shapes they got out here, of buildings and plants mostly. I've been saying "ciao" and "babe" but actually no one really talks like that out here. Waking up early and getting coffee and sitting in the sun, deep chats in the evening with Matthew, burrito, taco, sushi, fresh juice.
If you're in the greater Los Angeles area and you're free this Thursday (Oct 6), stop by the show-- it opens at 7, I'll be there until at least 10. Yes, there will be some stuffed animals for sale.
